Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Associate Supply Chain Specialist to synchronize materials procurement for metallic and non-metallic raw materials, interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

You will manage supplier activities, contracts, and post-award work, monitor inventory and use SAP, Excel, and MS Office to optimize planning and reduce variability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a supply chain role, aerospace/manufacturing preferred.
• Associates degree required.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to multitask.
• Project management experience valued; detail oriented with process focus.
• Relationship building and influencing to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Synchronize supply chain for obtaining metal and non-metal raw materials; interface with customers and suppliers.
• Act as authorized agent managing supplier activities and contracts.
• Develop RFQs, analyze responses, negotiate and award contracts; manage post-award activity.
• Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory levels, purchase orders and supplier performance.
• Monitor demand and optimize planning to reduce variability and improve outcomes.
