Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, based in Wichita, KS, seeks an experienced supply chain professional to coordinate raw materials procurement for metallic and non-metallic materials. You will interface with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials arrive on time, manage contracts, and optimize inventory and planning.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in aerospace supply chain, an associate degree, and strong SAP/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Associate (Level 2): 2+ years experience in a supply chain role, preferably within aerospace/manufacturing.
• Associates degree is required.
• SAP, Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with leadership levels.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Project management experience is highly valued.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and process orientation.

Responsibilities

• Synchronize a supply chain for raw materials, interfacing with customers and suppliers to ensure timely, quality materials.
• Act as authorized agent managing supplier activities and contracts.
• Develop RFQs, analyze responses, negotiate and award contracts, manage post-award activity.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to coordinate requirements.
• Manage inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
• Monitor demand and optimize planning to reduce variability and improve outcomes.
