Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems—a Boeing subsidiary—is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain professional for our Kansas operations. This role leads a team, manages daily activities, and drives cost-efficient supply chain processes, including logistics, procurement, and inventory management.

You will partner with operations, quality, and finance to align strategies, monitor KPIs, and implement improvements that reduce delays and improve performance across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in as a Supply Chain Professional and/or Management experience in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles including logistics, procurement, inventory management, and demand planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with suppliers, team members and stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data and develop solutions.
• Leadership and team management abilities to motivate and guide the team.
• Negotiation and contract management skills with suppliers.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to drive change and interact with all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of MRP systems; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide a team up to 20 members.
• Manage daily activities and ensure timely task execution.
• Develop and monitor annual budget and spend.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Conduct supplier reviews and visits for demand alignment.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand and minimize costs.
• Coordinate logistics for movement of goods to sites and work areas.
• Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and KPIs (on‑time delivery, shortages, fill rates).
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Address and resolve supply chain issues and develop RCCA processes.
• Collaborate with operations, program, quality, and finance for alignment.
