Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, seeks a Sr Advanced Project Engineer to lead a diverse engineering team in executing high‑quality navigation solutions for defense and civil markets. You will report to the Sr. Engineer Manager and work onsite initially, transitioning to a hybrid schedule after 90 days.

The role focuses on systems such as inertial navigation units and aided inertial navigation, with travel within the US and internationally as needed (approx. 15%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, tech, engineering or math.
• 6+ years of experience in design engineering or project leadership.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team in technical execution and risk management for Defense Navigation products.
• Analyze customer requirements and develop feasible technical solutions and test strategies.
• Manage cost, schedule, WBS, and coordination across internal/external stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to Customer Business Managers and Sales during pursuit of new business.
