Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Sr Advanced Software Engineer - Display Services to design, develop, and integrate highly complex Display applications for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics project.

You will report to the Sr Engineering Manager, work with a team of software and systems engineers, and contribute to certification and verification efforts, on-site for the first 90 days before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience with C++ or Object-oriented programming skills.
• 5+ years of experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• 5+ years of experience with software architecture and design development skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Display applications to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
• Implement software solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Testing and Integration on test benches in labs.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
