Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR is seeking a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer to join the Flight Management System team, delivering complex avionics software and system requirements.

You will lead cross‑discipline engineering efforts, coordinate with hardware, software, and validation activities, and ensure compliance with DO-178C and ARP-4754. The role begins onsite for 90 days, then hybrid (3/2) with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (STEM) from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years in systems engineering and project leadership in Avionics/Flight Management.
• Experience with system integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Define avionics or embedded system requirements and lead development.
• Support design of advanced systems including hardware, software, and networks.
• Ensure successful execution of complex engineering projects.
• Implement security measures and compliance standards.
• Lead deployment and configuration of systems; ensure testing and performance.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Test and integrate on lab test benches; perform system verification and validation.
