Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to drive design, analysis and testing activities for bearings, gears and lubrication systems in turbine engine applications. You will support existing fielded products and help develop new power systems and APUs.

Location: Phoenix, AZ with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote after 90 days). You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate tasks, and present technical artifacts such as design reviews and reports to meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in mechanical design and analysis of aerospace components.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Mechanical Systems including gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert to independently complete design & analysis tasks for Bearings within engines and power system applications.
• Execute life analysis, fit analysis, and clearance analysis for bearings.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities of 1-2 individual contributors on a given project.
• Provide technical oversight and decision making to ensure architectural alignment with program requirements.
• Lead proposal activities supporting various commercial and military customers.
