Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize aerospace manufacturing processes for launch vehicles and space systems. You will design efficient assembly methods, create work instructions, and drive cost, quality, and schedule improvements across multiple facilities.

You will collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability, lead process capability studies, and support new product introductions while maintaining a strong safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years' experience with aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Experience documenting processes and creating work instructions.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes and assembly methods.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
• Support production planning and on-time delivery.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and increase quality.
• Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with design engineers for manufacturability (DFM/DFMEA).
• Develop tooling and fixture requirements; support new product introductions.
