Job summary

Eaton’s Aerospace FED Division in Glenolden, PA seeks a Lead Engineer to guide multi-disciplinary teams in designing and validating actuator products for aerospace applications. You will lead an IPT across mechanical, electrical, software and test engineers, driving milestones, costs and engineering discipline.

You will engage with customers and coordinate with global teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; minimum 7 years in engineering, testing, operations or aerospace
• Master’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Experience leading international design teams for new product development (preferred)
• Familiarity with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5 and tolerance allocation

Responsibilities

• Lead IPT of mechanical, electrical, software, system and test engineers for actuator products
• Plan design, analysis and verification activities for new developments
• Drive milestones, budget, and resource needs to closure
• Own architecture and functional descriptions of products or systems
• Ensure design adherence to Eaton standards and first pass yield targets
• Coordinate technical communication with customers and suppliers
• Support aftermarket efforts (PMA, DER, SAR) as needed
