Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to provide expert leadership in electronic hardware design for aerospace applications. The role spans concept through production, guiding multi‑project efforts and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

Relocation is offered and the position reports to the Engineering Manager, Embedded Electronics Center of Excellence. The successful candidate will lead end‑to‑end development, perform hands‑on design and testing, and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in high‑speed digital, analog, and mixed‑signal circuit design.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, DSPs, and FPGA/SoC devices and interfaces.
This position requires access to export‑controlled information; applicant must be a U.S. person.

Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end electronic hardware design for aerospace products from concept through production readiness.
Coordinate with systems, mechanical, software/firmware engineers, and project managers across programs.
Ensure designs meet aerospace standards and regulatory requirements and support certification artifacts.
Engage in schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, component selection, and prototype builds.
Provide guidance to suppliers and support transitions from development to manufacturing.
