Job summary

Eaton's Corporate Sector division seeks an Electronics Engineer Specialist to lead electronic hardware design for aerospace products. The role spans concept through certification, ensuring reliability and compliance across multiple programs.

You will mentor junior engineers and drive platform-level strategies for cross-program consistency and innovation. The position emphasizes hands-on development, verification, and collaboration with suppliers to transition designs into manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of experience in electronics hardware design and development and leading complex hardware projects.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information and U.S. person status.
  • Eaton will not sponsor employment for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development of electronic hardware for Aerospace division products, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Coordinate with systems, mechanical, software/firmware engineers, and project managers across programs.
  • Define electronics hardware topologies and evaluate new technologies for integration into FED products.
  • Ensure hardware designs meet aerospace standards (RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD, RTCA/DO-254) and support certification activities.
  • Oversee hardware verification and validation Testing, including environmental and EMI/EMC testing.
