Job summary

Eaton seeks a Lead Electronics Engineer to drive end-to-end hardware development for Aerospace products, leading digital/analog/mixed-signal design and ensuring robust certification readiness. Relocation is offered, reporting to the Engineering Manager within the Embedded Electronics Center of Excellence.

The role emphasizes technical depth across multiple programs, mentorship for junior engineers, and responsible ownership from concept through production support in a high‑reliability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of electronics hardware design and development experience.
  • Experience with high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Experience with various microcontrollers, microprocessors, DSPs, and FPGA/SoC devices and interfaces.
  • This role requires access to export-controlled information; U.S. person status is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end hardware development from concept through production for aerospace products.
  • Coordinate with systems, mechanical, software/firmware and project managers across programs.
  • Ensure designs meet RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD environmental and EMI/EMC requirements and RTCA/DO-254.
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, component selection, and prototyping.
  • Oversee hardware verification, testing, and root-cause analyses for reliability.
