Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Program Lead (EPL) to head engineering activities for assigned programs, ensuring technical excellence, on-time delivery, and alignment with business objectives. You will serve as the primary engineering interface for internal and external stakeholders, driving strategy and execution.

The role requires leading engineering teams on highly complex tasks, developing plans and budgets, and coordinating with management to meet schedules and costs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience designing mechanical or electrical systems for commercial aircraft seating products (preferred).
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter (preferred).
• Experience with workflow automation tools and familiarity with AI or machine learning fundamentals (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all engineering aspects of complex projects and programs.
• Develop, track, and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource needs.
• Work closely with Engineering Managers to allocate Engineering and Certification resources.
• Drive strategic program planning to ensure technical execution meets business targets.
• Direct the work of engineering teams on highly complex technical and administrative tasks.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Oversee all phases of engineering programs from concept through completion.
• Support proposal development including technical approach and contract reviews.
• Monitor project metrics and develop resolutions to maintain quality and customer satisfaction.
