Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking highly motivated Customer Engineers (Experienced and Senior) to join the 787 Account Management team in North Charleston, SC. This role focuses on defining contractual airplane configurations and maintaining customer relationships throughout development and delivery.

Responsibilities include leading configuration development, coordinating with internal teams, and traveling up to 25%. Requires ABET-accredited BS degree and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and communicate their priorities within the Boeing Company.
• Represent the Boeing Company to the customer and act as the primary technical contact for their configuration definition.
• Frequently interact with Boeing Sales, Marketing, Contracts and airplane program leadership.
• Lead the configuration development, management, and change processing for all stages of airplane development from pre-proposal to delivery.
• Assist Boeing and the customer in resolving technical issues during airplane delivery, document unresolved customer issues, and facilitate a positive customer delivery experience.
• Interact with domestic and international customers and suppliers.
• Coordinate with diverse technical and business organizations within Boeing.
• Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally at approximately 25% of the time, as needed.
• May require working off-hours, weekends and/or holidays to support airplane delivery milestones.
