Job summary

Protective Coatings Inc. in Kent, WA is seeking a Level 4 spray operator experienced in applying aerospace primers and topcoats on a range of substrates, including complex geometries.

You will set up HVLP and airless spray equipment, follow strict safety practices, and collaborate with maintenance and production to ensure coating quality.

Minimum 3 years experience and NESHAP certification required; training provided. Position on 2pm–10:30pm shift with potential day-shift training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in spray application of aerospace primers and topcoats on various substrates.
• NESHAP Operator Certification Training IAW 40 CFR Part 63 Subpart HHHHHH; training provided as needed.
• Familiar with HVLP spray equipment (pressure, gravity, siphon) and airless ID pots, pumps and guns.

Responsibilities

• Review instructions for paint type, thickness, and tolerances.
• Load, adjust and maintain HVLP coating equipment in remote/pressure variants.
• Set up and operate conventional and airless spray pots, pumps and guns.
• Apply primers and topcoats to substrates and geometry per specs.
• Follow safety directives and share best practices with team.
