Job summary

Blue Origin in Jemison, Alabama is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, operate and maintain world‑class CNC machines for spaceflight component fabrication. You will develop engine component programs from scratch in NX Cam and machine parts on complex multi‑axis machines to achieve first article success with tight tolerances.

The role requires 7+ years of CNC experience across multiple machine platforms, strong GD&T skills, and the ability to provide design for manufacturing

Qualifications

• 7+ years CNC machining experience.
• 3+ years' experience with multi-axis machines.
• 5+ years' experience with CNC CAM programming.
• CNC programming skills (NX 10-2306 or Mastercam).
• Experience with Mazak, Hass, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki, Hermle, G+F or Okuma.
• Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, OSP or other controls.
• Excellent blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
• Proficient with personal computers and office software.
• Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, operate and maintain CNC machines to fabricate spaceflight components.
• Develop engine component programs from scratch in NX Cam and machine parts on complex multi-axis machines.
• Contribute to the Combustion Devices Machinery value stream for BE-7 engines.
• Meet first article and tight-tolerance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and CAD/CAM feedback.
