Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced avionics hardware engineer to develop boards and integrated assemblies across the full life cycle, from concept to production release. You will design analog and digital boards that interact with avionics systems and support architecture trades, performance characterization and device selection.

You will contribute to risk analyses, DFx initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct experience in electronics hardware development.
• Hands-on experience with analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis, design, test and layout.
• Experience with power electronics, digital filters and signal processing using discrete components.
• Familiarity with supervising sensors and control actuators via combinational/sequential logic.
• Excellent technical communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop avionics hardware (boards and integrated assemblies) through concept, design, prototyping, verification and production release.
• Develop analog and digital boards interacting with avionics systems, including testing and release.
• Support architecture trades, performance characterization, device selection and roadmap direction.
• Support DFx, failure analysis (FMECA) and root-cause analysis of test discrepancies.
• Participate in technology development, mission assurance and avionics process improvements.
