Job summary

Serco is seeking an AEGIS Test & Evaluation Engineer to lead strategy and execution of TEMP for the DDG 51 Flight III. You will coordinate cross‑agency efforts across PEO IWS, MDA, DOT&E, COMOPTEVFOR, and NAVSEA centers to ensure fleet readiness and mission success.

You will develop test strategies, plans and funding for each phase, review plans, write concise technical reports, and present executive briefs while maintaining schedules and budgets with a focus on safety and interoperability.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required or ability to obtain
• US Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• 8 years of AEGIS experience or equivalent
• Experience leading projects coordinating design, integration, development, test, certification, or delivery of surface combatant ships and related components
• Experience preparing and evaluating technical documents and drawings
• Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines
• Experience developing executive level presentations using MS Office
• Strong organizational skills for technical discussions
• Ability to write clear technical correspondence and present findings

Responsibilities

• Lead management and technical discussions on SPY capabilities and maintenance for all AEGIS baselines.
• Ensure interoperability between software developments supporting AEGIS baselines in fleet and development.
• Direct and manage the Test & Evaluation program for DDG 51 Flight III.
• Coordinate efforts across PEO IWS, MDA, DOT&E, COMOPTEVFOR and NAVSEA centers.
• Advise on test and evaluation topics including qualification, developmental, operational, live fire and accreditations.
• Provide guidance on TEMP development and execution, OT&E readiness, and fleet introduction.
• Review T&E plans for completeness and accuracy and approve recommendations.
• Develop budgets for SCN and RDT&E resources and events.
• Ensure ORD/CDD-derived operational requirements are demonstrated prior to OT&E.
• Travel up to 10% and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
