Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• 40-hour ACPE course meeting TX Board of Pharmacy requirements to compound sterile products.
• Hospital experience and 1 year minimum sterile compounding preferred.
• Current Registered Pharmacy Technician by State Board or Intern Certification with TX Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill medication orders and prepare sterile parenteral preparations; perform required calculations and maintain aseptic technique.
• Obtain final pharmacist check before releasing compounded medications; process returns and restock; package and transport meds.
• Perform daily ADC routines, restocks, discrepancy resolution, and troubleshoot ADC issues; adjust min/max PAR levels as directed.
