Job summary

Astera Labs seeks a Senior Packaging Integration Lead to own end-to-end packaging for advanced connectivity products, from customer requirements to production ramp. You will define architecture, test vehicles, and collaborate with OSATs, foundries, and internal teams to ensure robust, manufacturable packages on schedule.

You will partner with packaging leadership on strategy, drive technology selection, and communicate risks and decisions to executives and customers while guiding execution

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–7+ years in advanced packaging technologies (2.5D/3D, TSV, chiplets, interposers) with optical/co-packaged optics a plus.
• End-to-end ownership of a packaging solution from definition through production ramp.
• Experience defining package architecture and driving technology selection with trade-off analysis.
• Experience defining test vehicles and qualification strategies to de-risk packaging tech.
• Direct customer-facing experience translating requirements into package specs.
• Strong SIPI, thermal, and thermo-mechanical reliability knowledge.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the packaging solution end-to-end for assigned products and be the single point of accountability.
• Act as primary packaging interface to the customer translating requirements into architecture and specs.
• Define package architecture and technology selection with cost and performance trade-offs.
• Define TV strategy to de-risk new packaging tech and validate assembly and reliability.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external OSAT/foundry/substrate partners to align roadmaps.
• Drive risk identification and mitigation across the packaging roadmap.
• Communicate status, risks, and key decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
