Job summary

BELFOR Franchise Group (BFG) is seeking an experienced carpenter-level 4 to support reconstruction efforts in Memphis. You will oversee multiple projects, train junior carpenters, and act as a key team member on large-scale commercial projects.

Advanced carpentry knowledge across installation of materials and safety standards will be essential to success. The role requires working nights and weekends when needed and periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Supervision of unskilled labor and BELFOR employees
• Maintaining/equipment upkeep responsibilities
• Emergency services as needed (board ups, securing building)
• Additional duties as required

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance
• Train Carpenter Basic and Intermediate levels
• Answer project questions or escalate as needed
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants
• Build metal framed walls, acoustical ceilings, roofing repairs
• Use BELFOR methods for flood cutting, salvaging and labeling
• Identify insulation types and their R-values
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, siding
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks
• Meet BELFOR standards for safeguarding property
• Demonstrate strong customer service understanding
• Work nights/weekends as required and travel periodically
• Report time worked and materials used accurately
• Attend BELFOR safety and operations trainings
