Job summary

BELFOR is seeking a Level 4 Carpenter within its progressive track to support reconstruction projects. The role involves supervising unskilled labor, training team members, and ensuring adherence to safety standards on large-scale commercial and industrial sites.

The position emphasizes hands-on carpentry, coordination with project teams, and travel as needed to meet project timelines. Competitive pay and a strong benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising unskilled labor and BELFOR crew on complex projects.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and equipment handling.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines on large-scale reconstructions.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance when needed
• Train Carpenter Basic and Intermediate team members
• Answer questions and direct complex queries to the right resource
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants
• Perform metal framed walls, acoustical ceilings, roofing repairs as required
• Use BELFOR methods for flood cutting, salvaging and labeling materials
• Identify insulation types and R-values
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, siding
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
• Maintain attention to detail and protect client property
• Meet BELFOR standards in safeguarding property
• Demonstrate strong customer service practices
• Work nights/weekends and travel as required
• Record time worked and materials used accurately
• Attend BELFOR safety trainings
