Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration in Memphis is seeking an Advanced Carpenter (Level 4 in the Progressive Carpenter track) to oversee multiple projects, train Carpenter Basic and Carpenter Intermediate team members, and serve as a key team member on large scale commercial reconstruction efforts.

The role requires supervision of labor, containment for dust and contaminants, construction of metal framed walls, acoustical ceilings, roofing repairs, flood cutting and salvage tasks, along with daily safety

Qualifications

• Supervise unskilled labor and ensure project progress
• Train Carpenter Basic and Carpenter Intermediate team members
• Answer simple questions and escalate to qualified personnel
• Maintain equipment used in daily tasks
• Perform emergency services as needed (board ups, securing buildings)

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance
• Train team on all facets of their job descriptions
• Construct containment for construction dust and contaminants
• Build metal framed walls, acoustical ceilings, and roofing repairs
• Perform flood cutting, salvaging and labeling tasks
• Identify insulation types and their R-values
• Coordinate tasks and resource usage daily
• Maintain vehicle safety and conduct inspections
• Meet BELFOR standards for safeguarding property
• Attend BELFOR safety trainings as required
