Job summary

The Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings seeks a Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate construction across a portfolio of capital design and construction projects citywide, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality align with DDC objectives.

The Project Manager serves as the main contact during scoping, design, and procurement, coordinating between contractors, sponsor agencies, and internal teams, and preparing change orders, reports, and correspondence

Qualifications

1) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction, urban planning, or public administration and one year of full-time project management experience.
2) A four-year high school diploma or educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in 1 above; or
3) A four-year high school diploma or educational equivalent plus any combination of experience/education to total five years and one year of college credits toward a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and coordinate construction across a portfolio of capital design or construction projects.
Serve as key contact throughout scoping, design, and procurement phases; ensure schedules, budgets, and objectives are met.
Liaise with contractors, sponsor agencies, and internal teams; prepare change orders, project correspondence, and reports.
