Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Public Buildings Division seeks an Administrative Construction Project Manager to oversee complex capital construction projects, manage CM staff, and ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery from inception through close-out.

Hours are full-time (35 per week), location is 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101, with eligibility criteria for civil service lists and permanent title requirements for interview eligibility.

Qualifications

• Six years of full-time satisfactory experience in construction management work on capital projects, each with minimum $15,000 value; at least eighteen months in a managerial or consultative capacity.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex capital construction projects from inception to close-out.
• Oversee Construction Management staff, project budgets and schedules to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Sponsor Agencies to align project scope and vision; review change orders and project estimates; ensure safety and compliance.
