Job summary

Beehive Industries in Knoxville, TN, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong additive manufacturing background to support production through process development, industrialization, and continuous improvement. Candidates should have hands-on LPBF/MBJ experience, post-processing, and scale-up in a high-precision setting.

Role collaborates across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Lifecycle Manufacturing Engineering to ensure safe, capable, repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, propulsion, or related environments.
• Experience developing and sustaining production processes across additive manufacturing, machining, assembly, or related methods.
• Strong CAD skills with Siemens NX; familiarity with Teamcenter and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing process execution and production readiness for assigned areas.
• Translate product manufacturing strategy into capable, repeatable production processes.
• Lead development and qualification of manufacturing processes across additive manufacturing, machining, and inspection.
• Drive process implementation from NPI to sustained production.
• Create and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, routings, and standard work.
• Provide technical support to Operations for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and throughput.
• Monitor site performance metrics like yield, cycle time, and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.
