Job summary

Exponent is seeking a Managing Engineer with expertise in ADAS and/or automated vehicles to lead the Vehicle Engineering Practice. This on-site role supports projects in Phoenix, Menlo Park, and Natick, with opportunities to expand the consulting practice and professional growth.

You will manage teams, drive business development, and deliver high-quality testing and analysis across vehicle systems while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ADAS, AVs, and vehicle systems design, development, testing, and deployment.
• U.S. work authorized; no sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation to completion and communicate updates to team and clients.
• Develop and grow the Vehicle Engineering Practice by securing new business.
• Manage client relationships and mentor junior staff.
• Oversee project and cost management on casework.
• Set up and run various test programs including full-scale vehicle tests.
