Job summary

Great American Employer Health Solutions is seeking a Senior Actuary to design and oversee advanced actuarial models, pricing strategies, and profitability initiatives for employer health programs. This remote US role emphasizes collaboration across underwriting, finance, and product development teams.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field, 10+ years of actuarial experience, and an FSA designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of actuarial experience.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs, refines, and oversees actuarial models to evaluate risk and pricing.
• Develops product concepts and initiatives for specialized programs.
• Conducts advanced statistical analysis on large datasets to uncover patterns.
• Authors actuarial reports for stakeholders across the organization.
• Communicates complex actuarial findings effectively to diverse audiences.
• Collaborates with underwriting, finance, product development, and claims teams on strategic initiatives.
• Leads or contributes as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects.
• Mentors staff and participates in talent decisions and performance management.
