Oscar Health is hiring a Senior Analyst, Actuarial - Reserving to join our Actuarial team in New York City. This role supports ACA valuation processes, establishes IBNR projections, risk adjustment accruals, and analyzes performance trends to inform budgeting and strategy.

You will report to the Manager, Actuarial and work in a hybrid NYC office with three in-office days per week, including Thursdays for team meetings. 101,844–133,670 USD salary plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required.
• Associate or Fellow of the SOA, or on track to become one.
• 3+ years of actuarial experience or related field.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and communicates accruals for the monthly close related to IBNR, risk adjustment, and shared savings.
• Leverages SQL and Python to expand frameworks and drive insights for other actuarial teams.
• Contributes to reviewing and submitting regulatory filings.
• Investigates drivers of observed trends to inform budgeting and planning.
• Promotes actuarial best practices with automation and documentation.
• Maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assists onboarding of analysts into existing processes.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
