Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Actuarial - Reserving to join our Actuarial team. This remote role supports valuation processes for ACA markets, establishing IBNR projections and risk adjustment accruals while investigating trends to inform budgets and pricing.

You will report to the Manager, Actuarial and participate in the department’s rotational program, with full remote flexibility for candidates in Atlanta, GA. Competitive benefits and performance bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Must work with IBNR projections and risk adjustment accruals.
• Experience supporting monthly close processes and regulatory filings.
• Strong SQL and Python to expand actuarial analytics.
• Ability to investigate performance trends for budgeting and pricing.
• Onboarding and mentoring analysts, with strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Establish and communicate accruals for monthly close related to IBNR, risk adjustment, and Shared Savings deals.
• Utilize SQL and Python to extend existing actuarial frameworks and drive new insights.
• Review and submit regulatory filings with accuracy and timeliness.
• Investigate drivers of observed trends and inform budgeting, pricing and strategy.
• Promote actuarial best practices, automation, and documentation across teams.
