Oscar Health in New York City is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support ACA pricing processes. The role emphasizes preparing models and experience studies to inform pricing strategy, reporting to the Director, Actuarial, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

The position is based in NYC with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in-office per week. Base pay ranges from $101,844 to $133,670 per year, plus benefits, vacation, and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• Associate or Fellow of the SOA, or on the track to become one.
• 3+ years of actuarial experience.

Responsibilities

• Review core pricing and plan design models and provide actuarial insights for strategic pricing.
• Review regulatory filings and develop viewpoints and recommendations for pricing decisions.
• Investigate drivers of observed pricing trends to support pricing choices.
• Promote actuarial best practices around automation and documentation.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist onboarding of analysts into existing processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
