Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Sr Actuarial Analyst within the Medicare & Retirement line to address complex actuarial challenges, including data analysis and pricing model development in Excel and SAS. You will support Part D pricing, forecasting, and bid submissions with collaboration across teams.

Remote work is available nationwide; however, in Minneapolis or Washington, DC, in-office work is required at least four days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must be on actuarial exam track, having passed 2 or more Actuarial exams.
• 2+ years of actuarial experience.
• Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS.

Responsibilities

• Build models to support Part D pricing and forecasting
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop assumptions for Part D pricing
• Support ad hoc studies that inform and strengthen pricing strategies
• Contribute to the Part D bid submission process
