Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Sr Actuarial Analyst for the Medicare & Retirement line to build models, develop pricing assumptions, and support pricing strategies. The role emphasizes data analysis, Excel/SAS modeling, and collaboration across internal teams.

The position offers remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with an in-office requirement for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. four days a week for those locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must be on actuarial exam track, having passed 2 or more actuarial exams.
• 2+ years of actuarial experience.
• Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS.

Responsibilities

• Build models to support Part D pricing and forecasting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop assumptions for Part D pricing.
• Support ad hoc studies that inform and strengthen pricing strategies.
• Contribute to the Part D bid submission process.
