Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Actuarial Consultant within the Medicare & Retirement line to develop pricing models for Part D and support forecasting. You will analyze data, work with SQL, Python, R, or SAS, and collaborate across teams to shape pricing strategies.

The role offers remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements of four days per week for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of actuarial work experience.
• Actuarial exams: ASA track with 4+ exams passed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate or higher).
• Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance models that support Part D pricing and forecasting
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop assumption processes for Part D pricing
• Support Part D pricing analyses that inform business decisions for current and future product design and financial performance
• Conduct ad hoc studies to develop and support pricing strategies
• Contribute to the Part D bid submission process
