Job summary

UnitedHealthcare seeks a Senior Actuarial Analyst to oversee the end-to-end actuarial pricing process for the Ancillary & Individual business. You will analyze claims, trends, and state filings to establish premium rates, working cross-functionally with leadership and external partners.

Remote work is supported nationwide with in-office presence required in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. four days per week for those locations, integrating data-driven decision making with cross-team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of actuarial/analytic experience.
• Must be on the actuarial exam track with 2+ exams passed.
• 2+ years in a corporate setting analyzing data and presenting insights.
• Advanced or higher level Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze pricing files for Ancillary & Individual lines to optimize revenue and profitability.
• Study membership, pricing, utilization, and cost trends.
• Identify opportunities for revenue adjustments including rate changes.
• Support complex data programs for mathematical analyses and actuarial modeling.
• Translate forecasts and trends for diverse audiences.
