Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior Director Actuarial Services to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership on new ideas and strategies. The role focuses on Part D pricing, model development, and end-to-end actuarial leadership.

You will work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements four days per week for Minneapolis or DC-area hires, and you’ll drive large-scale projects across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASA or FSA designation required.
• 8+ years actuarial experience.
• Experience with Part D pricing or forecasting.
• Experience using models with large datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Part D team to build pricing models and methodologies.
• Lead actuarial analysis and support model/assumption study builds.
• Develop new processes and models using innovative solutions.
• Review pricing model results and perform sensitivity tests.
• Evaluate impacts of benefit changes and legislative reforms.
• Participate in Part D bid submissions.
• Manage workload and career development of a small staff.
