Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a talented actuary to join the Commercial Lines Actuarial Pricing team for BOP pricing initiatives. The role involves profitability analysis, state and industry segmentation, and rate filing support.

Collaboration with Product and leadership will shape pricing strategy. The ideal candidate holds an ACAS or is near FCAS, with 4+ years in P&C pricing and strong SQL/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or higher degree.
• ACAS or pursuing FCAS guidance.
• 4+ years of property-casualty commercial lines experience.
• BOP/GL/Property pricing experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.
• Excel, Word, SQL proficiency; R/Python a plus.
• Ability to build relationships within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support profitability analysis and rate indications for BOP portfolio.
• Analyze results by state, industry, and other segments to provide actionable insights.
• Recommend rate changes and strategic actions balancing profitability and growth.
• Support rate filings and regulatory objections with compliance.
• Communicate findings to Product and leadership to drive decisions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for BOP performance and metrics.
• Monitor economic trends and industry benchmarks to inform pricing strategy.
