AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an intelligent actuarial professional to join the Workers' Compensation Pricing team in New York. If you are an ACAS (or near) and eager to contribute to profitability through strategic pricing, this is the place for you.

You will collaborate with a skilled team to analyze data, model results, and influence rate filings. The role emphasizes building dashboards, monitoring industry benchmarks, and supporting cross-functional pricing initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS, BA or higher degree.
• ACAS or close and pursual of FCAS.
• 4+ years of property-casualty commercial lines insurance experience.
• Workers Compensation pricing experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are a must.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and SQL. R or Python knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to build strong relationships and enrich our positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Drive Profitability by calculating aggregate state rate indications and analyzing profitability.
• Recommend rate changes or actions to balance profitability and growth.
• Provide actuarial support for rate filings to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Communicate results to Product and other partners to align on action plans.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards to track Workers’ Compensation results.
• Track economic trends and industry benchmarks.
• Price large, high deductible and excess Workers Compensation accounts.
• Actuarial research projects and planning.
• Support crossline pricing initiatives and collaborate with Modeling team.
