Job summary

Ramboll, a leading environmental and health consultancy, seeks an experienced acoustical consultant in California. You will support projects, develop execution approaches, and analyze noise impacts using CadnaA/SoundPlan.

You will prepare reports, communicate results to clients, and review CEQA-related studies and regulations. You will collaborate with the Environment & Health division, contributing sound engineering and regulatory expertise while working in a hybrid office setup across CA

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics related major plus 6+ years of acoustical consulting experience.
• CEQA experience including IS and EIR processes.
• LORS assessment with CA codes and agencies such as Caltrans/CEC.
• Experience coordinating with CEQA lead agencies and in mitigation design.
• Strong spreadsheet, noise modeling, and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting acoustical consulting projects and client relationships.
• Developing and implementing project execution approaches.
• Supporting analyses related to environmental noise surveys, sound level analyses, and modeling.
• Preparing reports, proposals, and fee estimates for clients.
• Interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
