Job summary

Agenus is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance team in Lexington, MA. This hands-on role covers the full AP cycle, working with Finance, Purchasing, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely payments.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in AP, a accounting-focused degree, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Oracle Fusion. This is an onsite role with opportunities to contribute beyond daily AP tasks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant Accounts Payable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with an Accounting focus preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and internal controls.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for accuracy and match with POs to verify receipt of goods.
• Manage the AP mailbox and resolve disputes with vendors.
• Process weekly AP checks and disbursements in accordance with policy.
• Enter W-9 information and process annual 1099 forms.
• Reconcile vendor statements and aging; drive timely resolution.
• Support AP month-end close and internal audits.
