Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Monroe, MI, seeks an Accounts Payable specialist to process payments and invoices in E1, initiating or approving ACH and wire transfers, and creating month-end accruals. You will advise suppliers and internal teams on AP best practices, handle vendor credits, and ensure timely, accurate payments.

Expect high-volume processing (approx. 12,000 payments per month), strong data-entry, and proficiency in MS Office; associates degree in accounting preferred; Oracle E1 and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Efficient and accurate data entry to process high volumes of invoices and payments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication with peers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor invoices and credits for accuracy before data entry.
• Manage recurring invoices for routine payments to vendors.
• Process weekly payments (check, ACH, credit card, and wire) and reconcile payments.
• Initiate and approve wire transfers and maintain vendor templates.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
• Record Concur expense reports in E1 general ledger by import.
• Prepare month-end accruals for the accounting department.
• Create and update department procedures.
