Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Senior, Lead, Supervisor AP role that included review of processors' work that required good judgement on correction and escalation issues.
• Strong vendor management skills including database updates.
• Keen eye for details and can spot irregularities and discrepancies.
• Good communication skills - both verbal and written - comfortable working with all levels in a corporation.

Responsibilities

• Review outsourced AP processing - check for accuracy, correct errors, provide daily responses to inquiries, exceptions, and escalations.
• Maintain vendor master data; onboard and validate new vendors, W-9s, and remittance/banking details. Implement procedures to prevent payment fraud and adding duplicate vendors.
• Support 1099 preparation, sales/use tax review, external audit requests, and related documentation.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate payments, vendor disputes, and coding errors. Use good judgement to elevate non-routine matters.
• Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and support month-end close.
• Reconcile monthly credit card and P-Card statements and ensure supporting documentation is complete and properly coded.

Financial Additions has a great contract-to hire opportunity for an experienced Senior (or Lead) Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a HYBRID role located near Irving. Responsibilities include:

• Review outsourced AP processing - check for accuracy, correct errors, provide daily responses to inquiries, exceptions, and escalations.
