Hut 8 in Miami, FL is seeking a Principal in Financial Operations focusing on Accounts Payable to lead accurate AP processing, vendor setup, payments, and reconciliations across multiple teams in a fast-growing environment.

You will analyze AP aging, support month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive process improvements, including AI automation, while maintaining strong vendor relations and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of AP processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up vendors and process invoices and POs accurately and timely per policy.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payments (Bill Payments, ACH, wire transfers) to vendors.
• Assist month-end close with journal entries and AP reconciliations.
• Produce AP aging reports and analyze vendor payment trends.
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis as needed.
• Engage vendors to verify banking details and test payments.
• Maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support audits with documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and leverage AI where possible.
