Job summary

Champions Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP team within our growing residential home services organization. You will guide daily AP operations, mentor staff, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement across multiple entities.

You’ll oversee invoice processing, payments via check/ACH/EFT, vendor records, and month-end close activities while collaborating with Accounting and other departments to ensure accurate financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, or Certified AP Specialist.
• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
• Experience improving processes and implementing operational efficiencies.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct and Concur preferred).
• Excellent communication and collaborative leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Accounts Payable team and support coaching, training, and development.
• Oversee invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, and vendor account management.
• Maintain vendor records, W-9 documentation, and banking information.
• Resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies with professionalism.
• Oversee employee expense reimbursements.
• Support month-end close, cash disbursement forecasting, reconciliations, audits, and 1099 reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to automate and improve AP processes.
• Partner with Accounting and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
