Thrivent Financial is seeking a senior leader to oversee financial data, reporting processes, and accounting operations. You will influence governance and continuous improvement across Controller & Treasury, partnering with Accounting, Investments, Operations, and Technology.

We are open to remote candidates across the United States. You will guide complex analyses, ensure data quality, and enhance process scalability while supporting audits and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting/finance/operations experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficient with Power BI/Power Query and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, reporting, and operational processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Model and automate complex accounting and reporting processes with leadership.
• Analyze financial and operational data with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
• Support audits, regulatory examinations, and internal control activities.
