CLA is a top 10 national professional services firm seeking a Senior – Accounting Methods to join our Federal Tax Strategies team in Portland, OR. The role offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative environment, focusing on timing and character of income, expense, capitalization, and cost recovery to meet tax objectives.

You should have strong communication, problem solving and integrity, with experience in accounting methods, and be prepared to collaborate across the Firm on client projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• CPA exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult on accounting methods-related issues including changes across methods, revenue and expense recognition, inventory, capitalization, cost recovery and periods.
• Conduct research related to accounting methods tax issues to expand knowledge.
• Participate in accounting methods projects including client interviews, data review, calculations, analysis and filings.
• Collaborate with managers, directors and principals across the Firm.
• Coach or mentor staff to develop skills and careers.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously in a reliable manner.
