Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is hiring a Senior – Accounting Methods to join the Federal Tax Strategies team in California. The role focuses on accounting methods, tax strategies, and collaboration across the firm to implement efficient tax solutions.

The candidate should have strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, integrity, dependability, and a results-oriented mindset. Relationship-building with clients and colleagues is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.
• Experience in business services, public accounting or consulting preferred.
• Experience in accounting methods preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Access preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult on accounting methods changes including overall methods, revenue & expense recognition, inventory, capitalization, cost recovery and accounting periods.
• Conduct research related to accounting methods tax issues to maintain and expand knowledge base.
• Participate and collaborate in accounting methods projects, including client interviews, reviewing data, preparing calculations and filings.
• Collaborate with managers, directors and principals across the Firm.
• Coach or mentor staff to enhance skills and career development.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously in a reliable manner.
