Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior – Accounting Methods to join our Federal Tax Strategies team in Washington. The role offers growth, flexibility, and a collaborative environment as you develop and implement accounting methods strategies for clients.

You will consult on changes, conduct research, collaborate on project work, and mentor staff while handling multiple assignments with integrity and urgency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• CPA exam preferred.
• Experience in business services, public accounting or consulting preferred.
• Experience in accounting methods preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Access preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult on accounting methods changes including automatic and non‑automatic methods changes including overall methods, revenue & expense recognition, inventory, capitalization, cost recovery and accounting periods.
• Conduct research related to accounting methods tax issues to maintain and expand your knowledge base.
• Participate and collaborate in accounting methods projects, including client interviews, reviewing client data, preparing calculations, analysis, and preparing supporting tax form filings.
• Collaborate with managers, directors and principals, including industry leaders and other marketing and business personnel throughout the Firm.
• Coach or mentor staff to assist with enhancing their skills and further developing their career.
• Demonstrate ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously in an effective and reliable manner.
• The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $80,000.00 – $136,000.00
