CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Senior – Accounting Methods to join our Federal Tax Strategies team in Illinois. The role focuses on timing and character of income, expense, capitalization, and cost recovery to meet tax objectives, with opportunities for growth and collaboration across the firm.

You will consult on accounting methods changes, conduct related research, and participate in client interviews, data reviews, and filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• CPA exam eligibility preferred.
• Experience in business services, public accounting or consulting preferred.
• Experience in accounting methods preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Access (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Consult on accounting methods changes and related issues.
• Conduct research on accounting methods tax issues.
• Collaborate on projects including client interviews and data reviews.
• Prepare calculations, analyses, and supporting tax filings.
• Coach or mentor staff to develop skills.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
