Job summary

Dairy Challenge is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and reporting across the dairy supply chain from farmers to customers.

You will supervise 3-5 staff, ensure SAP integrity, prepare budgets, invoices, and financial statements, and provide management with timely analysis to support DFA policy compliance and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management role.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
• Dairy or manufacturing industry experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting, including GL, AR, AP, and payroll functions.
• Supervise accounting staff of 3-5 and coordinate with senior management.
• Assist with forecast of monthly ability to pay margin.
• Prepare balance sheet accounts and financial statements.
• Assist in annual budget process and prepare invoices for customers.
• Reconcile SAP transactions and ensure accurate invoicing for milk production.
• Generate monthly/quarterly financial reports for management.
